Over a 30-year career in oil and gas — working across the United States, the Caribbean, and South America and here in Canada for companies including Imperial Oil/Esso, Suncor, and ConocoPhillips Canada — I became a specialist at spotting risks before they become incidents. For the last 16 years of my career, Health & Safety was my full-time focus.
When I retired in November 2025, I earned my Certified Aging-in-Place Specialist (CAPS) designation and founded My Safe Senior to put that experience to work in a new way. Today, I help seniors and their families identify the hazards hiding in plain sight at home — and I provide practical, affordable solutions to address them.
